When Edita, an employee at Mercy Hospital, joined Interactive Health’s Weight Management program, her health was not in a good place. After five sessions with her health coach, her weight, cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL, and HDL levels all decreased. With the support of her health coach and her doctor, Edita continues to work her way toward better health!

How Edita Improved Her Health and Lost 9 lbs

Through my Interactive Health testing, I learned more about my health risks and how I need to improve my health, especially regarding my weight, cholesterol and diabetes. I’ve made significant improvements since I started working with my health coach.

I joined the Weight Management program with the hope that through weight management my cholesterol and sugar levels would improve. When I started the program, I was 210 lbs. My cholesterol level was 278, Trigliceride level 235, LDL 165 and HDL 146. I knew I needed to do whatever I could to bring these numbers down.

The packet Interactive Health sent me helped me in tracking my food intake and activities without being paranoid about counting how much I eat and what I eat. I also used the Websites they recommended, Supertracker.gov and ChooseMyPlate.gov were really helpful and fun to use.

After 5 sessions with my Coach Sarah, I had my yearly Physical with my doctor. My weight was down to 201 lbs, Cholesterol down to 202, Triglycerides down to 159, LDL 114 and HDL 146. My doctor was very happy with my progress and was supportive of the program that I am using because it worked so well for me.
