Chicago, IL – The American Hospital Association (AHA) today announced it has exclusively endorsed Workplace Wellness from Interactive Health. Workplace Wellness solutions feature Healthy Triumph, Interactive Health’s outcomes-based wellness program. AHA Solutions, Inc., a subsidiary of the AHA, awards the AHA Endorsement to products and services that help member hospitals and care organizations achieve operational excellence. Encouraging Hospital Employees to Be Their Healthiest

As employers, hospitals are challenged with maximizing employee health plan benefits while minimizing health-related absenteeism. Healthy Triumph is an outcomes-based, personalized wellness program that enables hospitals to improve employee health, manage costs and increase productivity without adding to internal staff workloads or requiring additional tools and technologies.

“Fostering a culture of health within the health care organization is critical not only for it to maintain operational excellence, but also to provide a model of healthy living for its community,” said Anthony J. Burke, president and CEO of AHA Solutions. “Through proven, successful results, Interactive Health has demonstrated its commitment to helping hospitals improve both employee health and the bottom line.”

A multi-year, independent study by Zoe Consulting, Inc. found:

  • Employers using Healthy Triumph had an average medical cost trend of only 5.9 percent compared to 12 percent for employers not using the program
  • Employers had a 20 percent lower medical spend compared to employers not using the program
  • Eighty-five percent of participants maintained or reduced their personal health score
  • Participants returned to work 11 days sooner following a workers’ compensations incident and 17 days sooner from short-term disability

“We are honored to be endorsed by the American Hospital Association,” said Joseph O’Brien, President and CEO of Interactive Health. “Hospitals, similar to all employers, are searching for creative ways to help their employees live healthier lifestyles. Our program focuses on early detection of health risks, while enabling hospitals to reward their employees for proactive health management. The personalized wellness programs will help hospital staff create a culture of health for their employees and provide models that promote wellness and healthy living within the communities and businesses they serve.”
